Second Proyect:Southern schools
Our second project arose through the Catholic mission of Arba Minch. Some of the schools that the missionaries maintain in the south of the country required assistance for various subjects.
After traveling to the area of Yabelo, near Kenya, we met Ide, a Dutch missionary who has lived in southern Ethiopia for more than 40 years, and manages several schools / shelters where children of the Borana tribe come.
The second project of Gamo-Gofa D.A, provides funds and help in a timely manner for various purposes, depending on the needs, such as:
• Punctual feeding of children in any of the schools. Supercereal is purchased that, mixed with water, contributes a significant amount of the nutrients that children need to be able to study and walk the long distances to and from school.
• Orientative talks in different centers about sex education for women
• Specific aids for material
• Summer camps
